Head Assembly
Anyone know if the metal head assembly of the 4#3 will fit the 4G3? The plastic head on mine is just rubbish.

I'd think it would require major mods to fit, different shaft diameters etc, also of course it would only be an FP.
What don't you like about the plastic head?

I've broken no head parts yet! Crashed it indoors a few times and went through a set of blades each time, but I now only fly it outdoors, crashed another 7 or 8 times onto grass and the only thing that broke was the canopy - bit of tape soon sorted that!
There is an official metal head due out from Walkera sometime soon, though it's $50 !!! Consider the added weight too. Personally I won't be bothering, I'm happy with the heli as it is, although I will be getting the new frame/servos upgrade also due out soonish You do have to set this heli up, doesn't fly too well out of the box, at least mine didn't.

Agree. Mine was a complete mess out of the box. So much for test flying. Gonna have to mod the battery holder though. At least there is some "tweakability" within the TX for achieving a better setup.

You should take a look at what I've found so far re the settings, the difference from when it came out of the box is night and day!
