Short answer is No.

But... if you go ahead and switch out the 4in1 with a spektrum rx, and a gyro and rewire the whole thing it will. Way too much work and $ to invest in this heli IMO.

Agree. I had seen in done before but as the 450's and the 2801 tx are so cheap now. Get a 450 or if you wants to fly the cb100 with a computer radio get a 2801 tx and save all the work and money necessary.

Default Moving up

I have become bored with my MicroMosquito and purchased a Rotofly a while back. All I have managed to do is break parts and become frustrated with the Rotofly. What thoughts does anyone have on the CB100. Is it easier to fly then the Rotofly? Something smaller then the Rotofly for indoor flying would be nice. Tired of the unfinishied uninsulated basement. I was thinking the CB100 would help me get to where I could fly the Rotofly. Thanks

First off, helis are NOT easy to fly... if they were, it wouldn't be so much fun

There are several popular methods to learn how to fly. They usually involove one or all of the following:
  • Get a sim
  • Get a large Coax, then get a large Fixed Pitch, then get a large Collective Pitch.
  • Follow Radd School of Flying.
I took a different approach in that I started with a large coax, then got a 4#3B, then a 4G3. The 4#3B was very difficult to learn, but it also held up very well to my many crashes. The CB100 is an easier version of the 4#3b. These small helis are very "squirley" and you need lots of self control to give very small and constant stick movements.

Thanks for the input. I am guessing then that the micro mosquito will not be representative of flying the other coaxial helicopters? They will be harder to fly?

A mosquito is more like a toy than a hobbyist's RC Helicopter. I will be harder to fly, but with a bit of care and patients, you will learn.

So I picked up a cb100 today..... flew it around, kinda boring as it flys like a co-ax.
what should I do to make it more "fun" and slightly challenging... I feel like if I fly this too much, I won't be able to fly my cp ones when summer is back.

I was thinking to swap in the 4#3b head..... I have a 4#3b and I enjoying flying that....
I love the bl main/tail on the cb100, now just want to make it more interesting.

does changing the flybar to 4#3b make it behave like the 4#3b or do I need to change the entire head?
