Logo 600 SX confused...
I'm really embarrassed to ask, but has someone listed ALL the differences between the Logo 600 3D and the 600 SX, or can someone point me to the right thread? I've ordered the combo SX head upgrade kit from RH which appears to take care of everything in the head. I have a mod 1 106T on my current 3D. I imagine I'd have to send my pyro 700-52 in to Kontronik for a longer shaft? Is that correct? I noticed on the UPGRADES page on RH that there might be a difference in the tail as far as hub and shaft size? Maybe? For some reason I want to say there is a newer tail rod control arm, too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!! Stephan |

Differences are new headblock (and dampeners), integrated swash driver, shorter control rods, counterbearing with main shaft third bearing, shorter main shaft, taller main gear, taller pinion, painted tail case, new design tail case clamps, beefier tail rotor hub (different tail rotor grip bearings as well, but same grips). You're right, there are new plastic ends that slip over the tail control rod. That's all I can think of, someone else chime in if I forgot anything. Can't comment on how much taller the new counter bearing is and how much longer a motor shaft needs to be, but if you decide yours needs to be longer, there are Scorpion motor shafts you can buy and install yourself if you don't want to send your Pyro to Germany.

Wow, excellent! Thanks, gravydrive. You said taller main gear and pinion. Do you mean the Mod 1 stuff or is there something different? I thought my current Mod 1 and pinion setup would transfer over. Sounds like the upgrade kit takes care of everything except the tail case, tail hub, bearings and the control rod ends. I think I can just upgrade the head stuff now and do the tail stuff later. Haven't had any issues with the tail (thankfully), so I'd like to leave. Have been stripping main gears tho.
Thanks, again. I'll keep an eye out for changes! |

The gear is still mod1 106T but is 2mm taller, and when using the new gear you should also use the new taller pinion. I imagine you'd need to use the new gearing combo with the SX counter bearing, finding and using 2mm worth of shims seems impractical.
