Default Washer required with 13t pinion?

Hi,

Is a washer required below the c clip on the adapter shaft when using the 13 tooth pinion? I ask because neither the 13t pinion or the adapter bag had a washer and the kit only came with the washer for the bigger shaft. If there is a washer needed can you throw a part number for me thanks!

I think the washer is needed but don't know if it's in the kit anymore. I got mine and it's definitely better now.

Where did you get the washer and how is it better, what was it doing pre-washer?

The 14T pinion doesn't have a washer (on non stretch kits).
13T pinion has the same one way and same bearings...

I believe there should be a washer under the c-clip regardless of the pinion to stop the bearing from rubbing against the c-clip.

I had mine from the 15T pinion which I noticed was "missing" in the 14T pinion... so I took the one from the 15T and installed it...

Corrado has already stated in this forum that no washer is used on the 14T pinion.

Nice to know... do you think it would induce any drag If I put one? Any reference to the post your telling? Just by curiosity so I could reread it and see if my answer is there

You can read some on these threads (I would have to search more for Corrado's post):
