Default Tail bounce DX6 to DX7 and BeastX

Hope you guys can help me out here. A buddy of mine has a Gaui425 with the X4 head and the BeastX. He has been flying this with his DX6 and it flew flawlessly. Recently he upgraded to a DX7. Radio was setup, Castle ICE 100 was setup, and after binding there was a bad control loop bounce on the tail on hard rudder inputs. Changing the BeastX to TX control and messing with the gyro gain didn't seem to do much. Changing dial 3 on the BeastX seemed to increase the amount of rudder input before the bounce would happen, but too much and the tail would drift 20-30 degrees after stopping. No happy ground here.

Does anyone hear know what could be going on here or at least some things to start looking into? Do I need to re-setup the BeastX? Could the radio transmit servo throws differntly, at different rates or something?

BeastX version 3.3
Standard DS something or other servos, fast one on the tail.

Should I post this in the main forum, so that more people see this? Was I clear on the problem? I would post a video but he lives in Aspen, and I live in Denver.

the Microbeast forum might be a better place to ask whether this behaviour is "beast-related"

Bearclaw, if the only thing changed in the setup was the radio transmitter than it most likely is a problem with programming. Redo the entire beastx setup with the new radio transmitter. good luck.

The only things that strike me is that there are 2 ways of adjusting gain in teh DX7 - via a Gyro menu or by using the Gear channel and using EPS's - the 2 approaches svary slightly and might be slightly different toa DX6, but would affect gain rather than bounce.

The other thing is that if he was that sometimes people find that there are some pre-existing settings (Revo-mix etc.) on a new (or re-used) model taht canmess things up

I'll redo the BeastX setup. I am using the Gear channel and endpoint adjustments. I reset the data on the model memory slot, so it was a clean slate.

This heli has over 500 flights on it with original electronics. I wonder if maybe the tail servo is getting old and slow. That would cause the bounce if the servo cant keep up with the inputs the BeastX is giving it.

It's just really weird that this problem comes up with a different radio.

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.
