damn you went all in the first go round, i would tell you you dont need that tracker for a quad but it depends on how you want to fly. i use a 3.5 helical rx antenna and have pretty much 180 degrees of signal out in front of me with a cloverleaf vtx antenna and 300mw vtx. Looks good though, nice clean install you will like it its a good frame.

Ya tracker will be for a wing project or for when I do try this in bit more dense area. I live in an area with vast elevations and forest etc..

So much to learn about fpv, an entire different hobby really.

Video base station near complete!

Complete tracking system and emersion power bus setup so my goggles, my PVR, my future 8" screen and all will power from same source and all will record by flick of switch, also going to look at building a shelf or platform for the 8" screen. Screen mostly will be forever if someone is with me to view the flight from the glasses view is all.

I see you're using a Futaba 8FG.

You may want to take a look at this.

Edi: that's one hell of an antenna setup you have there. . A Yagi and tracking will cover about 265 times the range the disco can actually fly.

I fly 2 cloverleaf omnis on 1.3 (no tracking) and can't get anywhere close enough to push the video range. I can fly my Zephyr on 2 omnis further than 3 miles out with no issues; a Disco has no chance of getting anywhere near that far..

Seen that about the 8FG just recently actually but thanks indeed.!! I am going to use a 9C Super now, old school. I did note the delta number avg was all over place, grounded it till 9C super old tx comes to me.

Antenna??, oh yes indeed but future proof for a wing project I intend to do which is only reason to make the tracker system

They made a 1.40 e. firmware update to bypass the issue
