10CG and flight simulators with GWS USB

Hello,

I've read a lot about setting up my Futaba 10CG with the GWS USB connector I purchased, but no matter what I do, I can never get it to actually work correctly. Here's a bit of what I've already tried:

Using Windows XP and Windows 7 - both have the same problem.
Using GWS USB cable GWFSM002
Downloaded GWS USB driver from their website

I've followed the instructions to install the USB driver, and tried a number of different options without any luck - every time I test the driver, either in Control Panel, or in an app like FMS, no control changes ever occur when I move any of the control sticks.

I have tried creating a new model in the 10CG and using swash H-1, trainer options on/off, and a bunch of other settings to no avail.

I'm an IT guy, so I know the computer end of things very well, but I don't know Futaba that well at all. Is there some sort of step-by-step to get things working from the TX end? Thanks!
