Default Damaged tail fet??

Hi guys

I have an Mcpx V1 board here, about two years ago i shorted the tail wires after a crash and damaged something critical.

The immediate symptoms iirc was the tail running at 100% despite throttle hold on.

Afterward i remembered installing a new tail and testing, the results were similar however the tail motor eventually slowed to a complete stop and never came back.
Visually there is no damage to be seen on the board.

Now that i have a means of repairing the tail motor fet I'm left
wondering if all that was a typical response, and if it's not something else down the line.

Sounds like the classic symptom of a burnt tail FET.
