Default Blade 300x Main Shaft Fix

Lynx Heli Innovations is always looking to improve the helicopters you fly!

We have been looking at the Blade 300x, and are developing many exciting new parts for this helicopter. But during our testing, we have broken a few main shafts... so clearly this is an issue we needed to solve before anything else!

Our new main shaft eliminates the lower jesus bolt hole, and adds an autorotation system.

This upgrade will be available soon - keep an eye on our website www.lynxheli.com

Thumbs up Interested!

Yup, put me down for 2 of these assemblies. Hopefully they're available soon as my 1st 300X has developed play in the main shaft...too much to continue flying until I take it apart to inspect it.

Question Curious...

Lynx Heli Innovations, I was just curious of all the excellent work you are doing with the 300X Main Gear assembly with the one-way bearing, would making a "Helical" Main Gear with a matching Pinion be possible?

I was just curious as I've read that Helical cut gears effectively transfer power better than straight cut Pinion's and are quieter.

Beautiful Work! The silver belt drive gear will nicely match the other Aluminum parts I have on my 1st 300X. Looking forward to purchasing this assembly!

I'm hoping as well, that there is not too much trade-off with added weight.

Hi honestly after the incredible success in terms of performance and security of the frame stiffeners I hold the main shaft and we are finalizing the last parts for the auto rotation system, but one different shaft will be available soon, cannot say more, will be a nice surprise for the next year coming.

Main Gear sound we are working hard in that, we are finalizing some test in 300 x and 450x, early new years you will saw it on sale.... and say.. I want it right now!!!!!!!!

Thumbs up Excellent News!

Whew, for a moment there I thought that LYNX had stopped working on the 300X Main & Auto rotation gear but I'm glad that you are still working these parts. I'm looking forward to the innovations for the coming New Year!

dear 300x main shaft wonder.
I personally deside to stop the definition of the main shaft for 2 main reson.
1 using our frame stiffener we stop defenitly the frame flection that are the major cause the shaft issue.
2 new hh main shaft have different and better tensile streach and work much better than first one.

those 2 situation really fix in simple and pro way the 300 main shaft issue.

who try our frame stiffener report enthusiastic apreciation.

personally I do many hard 3d fly with powerwd motor and all my issue stop once the frame stiffener was in place.

I really hope who still have main shaft issue will try asap the stiffener to emjoy wirhout limit this little bird.

Luca, how about the one way bearing design? Are you killing it as well? This is a part many of us would like to have. Being able to autorotate my helis is the only way to save them in case of brownouts.

I did put this post in another thread but it belongs here too.

I've snapped 2 shafts with the Lynx brace on... trying to run 3600rpm.

No damage to the frame or the brace but the shafts still snapped.

One shaft just snapped for no apparent reason.
The other... was flying very smoothly.. no vibrations at all... was in a tight turn a little shudder from the tail (gyro) and BOOM.

The entire head down to the lower bolt hole separated from the heli... links went in all directions... tore the elevator arm off the swash... cracked the elevator servo housing.

I've had no problems running at 3400... the brace is good... but the main shaft is at its limit at about 3400... any problems with vibs or shudders and you can expect it to break... brace or not.
