As for the people asking about the canopy with alrge motors, its no problem to just dremel out a hole, I made on about the size of an Egg and the same shape as egg, dropped some fuel tubing around it and no problems, even opens up more airflow and looks decent.

Been a while since anyone has posted about the HFE setups. I'm very interested in these. My question is how the mini servos have held up over time. Both the Futaba's and Hitec's.

Thanks

Well the mini's have been holding up fine but when you crash being that the servos are direct control to the swash you have a higher chance of stripping gears other than that they continue to go out the door

Best,

Not too worried about the "crash factor" ! I did pick up a HFE kit from helidirect. I like the simpler and most important the weight reduction philosophy of your concept. My initial build with stock motor and TP50006s came in at 6lbs 14ozs. Won't get a chance to fly much till maybe spring. Minnesota winters....

But I will get lots of tinker time.
Thanks

Does anyone know if the 1515 2.5 d/f/h will fit under the canopy without mods?
