Sorry!
Really sorry for your loss. I would be devastated as well!!
I am curious to see what the problem was and if Kontronik will be able to help. This is horrible.... |

I'm glad it happened to me though. I helped build twin 770's One for me and one for lhs owner. I pressured him to use kosmik and not another brand and he got one same shipment as mine. I'd been bragging to him about my recent other kosmik 200 and jive. So much so that he caved in and if you know him this was great victory to convert him. He's up and flying great and also in love with his ship and set up. If this happened to him I woulda felt terrible and probably lost his confidence. I was assured that kontronik wants to use this to learn whatever they can from incident and not bury the matter. I did some basic fundamental testing of electronics but have sent them esc and motor so the experts can diagnose.

Re: Kosmik 200/770 loss
First let me say this. . The way Charles Anderson handled this case has given me more confidence in kontronik then I had before my mishap. He was my contact for this and treated me very well and was very understanding. Easiest way to describe his actions are. "True Professional".
Sat I gave him my address and I will be receiving a package from Germany with 2 high end kontronik products. I wanted to leave thread alone until package arrived but u didn't want to leave people wondering if they stepped up. Well to me they did! I have full confidence in this company and will highly recommend there products in any heli sab or otherwise. And I feel more good will come outta this then bad for then. Regardless of the cause of fire they demonstrated why there the best at what they do. I didn't have to ask for anything. I took the high road and let it play out. It was a big loss and it really did crush me emotionally. But Charles efforts and kontroniks stepping up has allowed me to move on. I thank everyone for the kind words of support..

Good to hesr your beeing well taken care of, and the way the Kontronic steps up goes a long to justify the cost.

We, at KONTRONIK, were sorry to hear of Brian's incident with his helicopter. There are many possibly scenarios that could have occurred and as such we would like to examine all avenues. For this reason, in addition to providing Brian with a new KOSMIK we will also be sending him a PYRO motor. We have requested that he send his Quantum motor to us so that it may be tested to see if it may offer any clues to the point of failure. It is not merely good enough to know that this happened, our goal is to know why this happened.
We feel this is also a good opportunity to remind everyone to consider use of the KOSMIK Fuse as is recommended in the manual. As we push the power systems further along, there will always be the possibility of some type of catastrophic failure from any part of our models. The purpose of the KOSMIK Fuse is that of a last line of defense. Used properly, the fuse adds an additional measure of protection. KONTRONIK would like to thank Brian for his cooperation and wish him the best with his new model. |

We always jump on company's when they don't step up.. so I feel its proper to show our support and happiness when they do it right! At the risk of me being overly patronising... they earned my loyalty and thanks..

This may be a lay question but I'm unsure how to install the fuse into the system. I would kindly ask any who are using the fuse to post a few pics for reference.
Love the K line of products and I have only used them exclusively on all of my birds but without the support of the folks here many would be hard pressed to be setup properly.
