Default MX400 motor evaluation

Does anybody have any suggestions about the motor and ESC shown in the link below.

http://www.aero-nuts.com/product_in...products_id=203

I am considering it for my MX 400 Kit. Is it any good? Any suggestions are welcome.

What I have seen is ALIGN 430BL for this application. I am working on a budget heli.

Kv : 4600 rpm!!! you are going to need an eight tooth pinion to get under 3000 headspeed, If you are into insaine 3D that might be ok.
The 430L on an 11T pinion is ok some say 12T is better, it was limiting my flight time so I went back to the 11T.
Look at the Just Go Fly "JGF" 450TH, it is rated very well but will cost you a little more and does not come with an ESC.

Can vouch for the JGF 450TH as a good motor for an (M)X-400. Can be run as hard or as easy as you want without overheating.

What is your setup?
I just got my JGF 450 and was thinking 12T with 325 pro woods for a starting point.

MX400 is it possible to configure this in a 4 channel setup.

Also I am still thinking about the above motor or a DIY motor.

Any ideas about how the DIY stuff works on this heli.

You need a minimum of 5 channels to fly a collective Heli I wouldn't go over 3500Kv for a motor.

If you're not willing to get the right equipment in order to fly, then don't fly at all. You're just asking for trouble and costly repairs. I would NEVER use anything from a blade CP.

Get yourself a good radio, servo's and a good gyro. Yes it costs more but it'll be 100% easier to fly and learn on. Trust us.

I would get a 430L and ESC combo, you can get it for $90 and nothing out there beats that price, and its a damn good set-up for 90% of the fliers out there.

If you need a budget radio, get a Futaba 6Ch heli version or even get a DX6. Both will come with servo's and a Rx. The servo's may not be top notch, but they'll be plenty for flying around with.

A brand new radio set-up will cost about $170, motor/ESC $90, gyro $90 used (Gy240). You're not going to get much cheaper that than, and you're getting more than decent parts.

There is no way to use the 4 in 1 for its gyro and RX in a 450 size heli the gyro in the 4 in 1 is connected to the tail motor ESC and does not have any servo output plus the gyro in the blade is not that good.
