Freya YS 80 Engine problems... HELP!

Hello all.
I recently purchased a freya eagle used.
The engine that came with it is a YS-80.

I have owned several other manufacturer engines and never have I ever has such problems.
I can get the engine to start, albeit not as easy as my old OS engines.
It will idle decent and get about to half throttle sometimes a little more and then wam!
Stupid thing shuts off or bogs down.
I referred to the manual which tells me I need for start>
(turns open) 1.75 for low, 1.25 hover, 1.25 high

I set it there but there is almost no smoke once I get past half, which in my experience means I need more fuel.
I finally got to around 2.2 turns open on the high speed needle before I could even get it to get past half. But no matter what I do it just won't stay running. It bogs out and quits.
I have torn down the engine, checked all the seals, changed all the lines, checked the clunks... etc etc... I have done everything I know to do. Have any of you all ever dealt with this issue with a YS?
I am beyond irritated with this junk at this point. OS never has given me troubles like this. Ever.
