robird g31 no blue light
Trying to setup a new robird. Trying to follow the video tutorial. He shows powering up the receiver and letting the gyro initiate until the blue status light comes on, after which he plugs the usb cable in. I'm not getting the blue status light and the program doesn't seem to be connecting. Any ideas would be great.

You won't get a blue light until you flip the switch on the transmitter to select "heading hold" vs "Rate Mode." On a DX6i that is the gyro switch. (Of course that assumes the unit is coming up properly, just in rate mode.)
I'm assuming you are checking for it to connect by watching for the G31 unit info on the first screen. Have you verified the USB port on your computer and cable are good? You might post the sequence of lights on the G31 and see if that helps troubleshoot. Roger |

Gyro gain #'s
I just set one up tonight to try tomorrow! What area should I start with for gain with a DX18? I am a big fan of the BeastX and the AR7200BX and I have to say that so far I am not in love with this setup! I hope the effort is worth the trouble! seems like a lot of fiddling around.
