A Technician class license would cover anything you need for FPV.

I found several free apps for doing this. I thought the AARL book and disc were not worth the money, BUT I have EE degree so that part was easy.

Is there anywhere to read up on the rules for this? I talked to a friend and he said something like over 5 watts would require a licence? These are rated in milliwatts, like 600mw?

If that is the case, using a 600mw vtx will not require a hamm license. 1000mw is equal to 1 watt.

IIRC, the power limit without a license is 25mw.
