Depends on a lot of things. But regarding Lynx dampers (both V1 and V2) vs MSH red hard 3D dampers, the MSH red is very stiff rubber vs soft rubber O-ring(s) of the Lynx which requires a lot of hard plastic (or delrin) to make up for the soft rubber O-ring(s) to maintain low deflection of the feathering shaft. The MSH red is one rubber piece yet maintain at least as low deflection as the Lynx. And because the feathering shaft deflection force is absorbed by the whole rubber (MSH red) vs 1 or 2 small O-rings, the Lynx damper O-rings compress, deform and develop slop fairly quickly while the MSH red lasts a long long time. There have been reports of vibration after switching to MSH red but that's probably just because whatever soft dampers swapped out hid the out-of-balance/track problem.

When I swapped in the red dampers I had a lot of headshake in spooling down. After checking tracking and my head set up (which were as close to perfect as I could make it) I flew a few more flights. On about the fifth flight after rebuild everything settled down and spooling down is now completely smooth. Think it was just parts settling in to their new home and getting cozy.

Did you lube the dampers? If you didn't that would explaing the settling in. As I mentioned the MSH reds have very tight fit I can almost tighten the feathering shaft bolt without locking the other bolt.

I lubed the feathering shaft with Triflow grease but don't remember if I put any on the damper. Will definitely do this next rebuild.

Red dampener should arrive here tomorrow. Hope it helps.
Did cost quite a bit, minimum order at the shops that have them E10 + E13,- shipping.
Made the best of the situation and ordered the yellow miniP Gorilla skids along with it.

Really looking forward to flying it again. Along with the miniP offcourse

Finally test-flew with the red dampers.
Feels a bit more sensitive around center cyclic, but adjusted in about 30 seconds and all feels normal again. Might just be not flying the heli for 3 weeks.
The FF elevator wobble is nearly gone. Cant really judge if there is some wobble left because it is extremely windy today. Flew the 4 packs i have before the sun set. Good feeling but cold fingers. it's just above 4degC this evening with the wind chill feels much colder.
Just doing some flips and sideways loops today, nothing extreme. Heli feels locked in and not struggling with the wind.

Happy helicopter
