Setting up Jive 8o HV using progdisc
I'm in the process of setting up my esc on a Logo 600se with mini Vbar. Do I have to follow the set up procedure in the above sticky before using the progdisc or can I jump straight in. The problem I'm having is with the stick position in APM the esc will arm but the motor will not spool up until the stick is at 50%. When I use fixed stick positions the esc will not arm. Am I doing something wrong. I have throttle curve in normal 0 to 100, idle up 1 at 60%, and idle up 2 at 80%. Also I reversed the motor with the progdisc and I think it has reversed the fan on the heatsink. Should the fan be drawing from the heatsink or blowing it cool air.
My settings are as follows Brake...................Off Battery Type........Lipo Battery Empty......Slow down Cut off at..............3.0V RPM start up is highlighted blue Timing RPM.........Auto RPM control.........On RPM start up time..6s Stick positions see text above BEC Voltage..........5.2 I've not been flying for three years been busy with other stuff. I would really like to get this heli in the air sometime soon. Also this is my first flybarless machine. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks |

Not sure I follow everything in your post, but I would recommend a Mode 1 reset (using sticks), followed by either Mode 4 or 11 (also using sticks). Please be absolutely certain that you have a linear throttle curve (0-100) actually enabled at the time of stick programming with any throttle trim eliminated/neutralized. You can change it back to whatever it was before after the stick programming is done. But it is imperative that you have the 0-100 throttle curve *enabled* at the time of programming because this is when the Jive learns your endpoints. Once you're done with that, then use ProgDisc to up your BEC voltage to 6.0v (unless you have a specific reason for setting yours so low at 5.2v). The rest of your settings look good (although your spool up time is too quick for my taste, but that is personal preference), so use the ProgDisc to put the rest of those settings back as you had them before (in case the Mode 1 reset changes them to something else). And don't mess with the "stick settings" in ProgDisc.
Also, not sure why you need a 0-100 "Normal" TC with an electric hell. Nitro, yes, but seems unnecessary to me with electric, especially with a Jive ESC since it has such a nice soft start. Obviously, whatever works for you... Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, I've sorted most of it with the help of a friend. I'm using a separate rx pack so I wanted the bec lower but I'm going to remove the red wire going to the rx but I'm going to increase the bec to 6.0V to run the fan that is plugged in to the slave.
Thanks |

I jus purchased a jive 80hv as a combo I have had 3 heli jives & all worked well but when I plug the 10s pack to my jive nothing happens I get no tone the step down voltage is going to the v-bar but no normal Rone motor is hooked up.. does this mean it was defective? Also my cure is 0,50,100
