Default Bi weekly phoenix session?

Hi Everybody!

Just a crazy idea I had, but wouldn't it be cool if we could all catch a few flights together?

Reality wont really let that happen, but virtually using the online feature in phoenix 5 - it might be possible!!

My suggestion is a bi-weekly online meet specifically for pilots from this forum!!

To start I'm gonna try Tues & Thurs from 12am EST till whenever the party is over!!

To start, lets all choose the 300x model and see how it goes??

I'll be setting up our hopefully first of many HF-FF-300X sessions as of tomorrow.

Password will be freak300x and the room will be called HeliFreak FunFly!

Hope to see you tomorrow night!

Sounds fun I'll see what time that is here and see what I can do to be online at that time.

In! That is when I normally sim anyways so why not?

A couple of questions....

Does anyone actually sim a 300x? I think I have maybe 5 minutes of sim time on one so I might be a bit of a liability.

I am still on version 4, hopefully this won't require me to upgrade??

Anyway, please bump this thread before you start for a reminder.

700 is all I use on the sim.

You will need version 5 to fly online sadly if others are using it.

Sounds fun! I missed Tuesday even tho I was simming just didn't see this post

I'll try to hop on another time if you guys keep this up. The time 12AM EST is 11PM here so that's getting pretty close to bedtime for me. I've done the online thing with Phoenix a few times with some of the guys here locally. It can be fun for about an hour. The bummer I've found is that the voice audio really sucks. We've never been able to get it to a point where it was usable, so we end up using the text chat system which blows because you can't fly and talk at the same time.

I am sick as a dog, the flu meds knocked me right out on the sofa last night fellas

Not a great start but Thursday im hoping for another try!!

The 300x model in the sim isn't too bad but just like the real deal you need to apdate the motor a bit I really just fly the G700 in phoenix, but since this is a 300x forum and most of us know exactly how it feels I thought it would be fun anyhow to fly with each other.

The voice thing is iffy but I'm sure we can figure something out!

Hope to see you there!

This might sound dumb, but what region should I be looking at on the world clock to join this session.

He stated EST, that's Eastern Standard Time, so anywhere on the east coast of the U.S.... New York for example.

I set it a bit late in hopes of luring some of the west coast folks into joining us!

My online name is Sir Crash, and I'm looking forward to flying with y'all later tonight!

See you there!

Now you need to adjust it for Australia time. As best as I can tell 12AM EST is about 1PM AWST (western Australia). Not to mention those lucky dogs are just now rolling into Summer. That's it...I'm moving

Hi!

Not sure why the password was an issue, I just wanted to try and make it exclusive to people from this forum!

It was cool, maybe the concept needs refinement. I work until 11pm every night so I cant do it earlier on week days but perhaps a weekend day would be more suitable once outdoor flying is no longer an option?

Any suggestions are welcome to help increase attendance!

Cheers!

If I am not mistaken, you guys did it at 12am est Friday, not Thursday. Not a big deal on my end either way, I was busy last night setting up my Spirit (woot!).

Yeah, I can't understand why it wouldn't let me join. Weekend sessions would work best for me ( I work 6:30 - 4:00 weekdays usually).
