Yep, integrated Chinese weights. Means tail pitch movement balances itself, in short.

As with previous videos, head speed sounds like only 2150rpm yet the heli moves quick. I wonder what it will be like with 2300rpm.

I'm curious what the motor was. Looks like a Xera. I hope its not a really low KV that you can't find other motors in.

Witnessed Dario's flight(s) at ROTOR live 2013 in Germany in person this weekend. One of the best crowd pleasers.

Seen two Protos 700's pre-production machines up close too and had a chat with Corrado a bit.

One way bearing is located in the pinion, as familiar, but the motor has a 3rd bearing in the motor mount itself, rather unconventional. He said this and the unconventional supported tail shaft allow the belt to be removed by just removing the 3rd main shaft bearing block.

Also, when I asked how long the belt would last, Corrado said it would last about 30 flights in Dario Neuenschwander mode and about 100 flights for most people.

He also said the kit will likely come without blades (since they're expense at this size), allowing the customer to pick/buy them separately.

For the Chinese weights, aren't they normally in line with the tail blade bolts?

Yeah, no point putting them in the same plane as the blades.

Is the canopy going to be held on by magnets? Notice the canopy posts and the large silver item at the center. Brilliant idea if true and they can withstand fast backwards flight. Matt

I heard "at least 100 flights", not "only 100 flights" ... with low price and less than 5 min to swap it (the design is made for it, no need to move tail boom or rotor, just the third bearing, and you can swap the belt in seconds).

I consider it a lot better than having to change gears every 50 flights on some mecanics ...

Thomas.

To be honest, this bad ass heli is the one which I just want to swap from my logo 600 after 3 years flying . But I am doubting the MSH's capability of production, in fact the spare part of Protos 500 is always outstock on the shelves, so don't know whether the same situation will be with the 700

Lack of Protos 500 spares on some shop shelves i am afraid has nothing to do with our production capability that is more than enough

@Corrado, what are the teeth count on the main gear, pinion and tail pulley?

Dunno where your from but in the USA I can get any protos or mini protos part from a dozen shops that ship whitin 24 hours. If your expecting your local hobbytown USA to stock protos parts, don't hold your breath.
