G4.1 has almost 3 gallons through it!

I've the same machine the g4.1 but time is my enemy now...i only have the motor give a try in idle now....one fully thank idle ......so my next thing is give a try up in the air....so what motor do you have?

I'm running the OS 105 DRS with the Hatori SB-22 pipe. Awesome combination and the motor is just a beast. I run on the rich side and it pulls through everything with ease. Very very pleased!

allricht nice combo..mine is a os 105hz-r with powerboost pipe i hear good things about it so.... i think i will be supriced about the power he has.....

its my second nitro motor and my first 90. size so this will be a great summer

What I noted most watching your vid, is that it seems to respond nicely with a very moderate head speed. What are you turning?

Absolutely man, same thing I like about it. I've never been a fan of high head speeds. I run 1850 on the highest. Handles everything I do with ease. This is my first 90 and first FBL helicopter. I run 715mm Vblades. I love it!

My G4.1 was my first nitro, it soon became the most flown 700 size heli I have ever owned, over 100 flights in 6 weeks, that's over 15 gallons!

I crashed it for the first time last weekend at a fun fly - my fault, tic tocs got too low.
Its ok, I had built another one on the side for when I crashed the first one.
Damage isn't too bad, think I might just fix the first and leave the new one on the shelf for a bigger crash.

Absolutely man! Awesome flying machine for sure! Yeah buddy, rebuild that thing! How much damage? I've heard they are pretty strong helis and crash well. Sorry to hear about the crash man. Keep me posted with the rebuild buddy.

This is just from visual inspection, might get to tearing it down tonight.
Its not much, but G4's are the most expensive heli to repair, so it won't be cheap.

They seem to be pretty robust machines. I dinged mine up a little yesterday. I was very lucky. Hit the ground 45 degrees nose down and pushed the canopy up. Broke main blades, canopy posts, bent one grip post, and broke a couple links. Didn't even bend the spindle. Main blades were the most expensive. This is my first kind of dumb thumb accident in all the years I've flown RC. I shouldn't have been piro flipping so low when my hands were numb because the cold. Oh well, I guess it happens.

505 flights on my first G4. Very little maintenance and still flying great. This is the best heli I have had.

Yeah around 5. It's a 22 oz main tank. I don't run the header tank.

With no header tank, I get 7 tanks per gallon. I don't run the tank dry each flight, perhaps leaving 2 ounces in the tank.

After reading this thread, I really kept track last weekend.

I run 1600 headspeed with YS 91 3DS motors and with about four auto's at the end of each flight, I get 13+ minutes per tank.

If I run 1850 headspeed, flight times drop around two minutes.

I have 532 flights on my first G4 and 50 on my newer G4.

Strictly from a numbers prospective with some assumptions.

Assuming the G4 tank is 22 fluid ounces (US) and gallon (US) and you ran the tank bone dry, it would refill 5.8181 times.

Assuming the G4 tank is 22 fluid ounces (Imperial) and gallon (Imperial) and you ran the tank dry, it would refill 6.987 times.

Assuming the G4 tank is 22 fluid ounces (Imperial) and gallon (US) and you ran the tank dry, it would refill 6.055 times.

I think all fuel in the US is 1 gallon (US) unless you are using Magnum fuel which is 1.25 gallons (US) or 1.04 gallons (Imperial.)

Assuming US measurements and you landed with about one sixth of a tank left, it would refill about 7 times.
