Default gyro gain on aurora 9

hi there,
this radio is amazing, but i don't have any experience with it. it's a newbie mate's radio.
i'm also kind of rusty with fly-bar gyros.
no matter which gain value he sets on the radio, the tail sensitivity won't respond differently.
1stly, i'd like to make sure the gain sensitivity is active on aurora 9. when the normal_mode/hh switch is flipped on the radio, the led on the rx responds accordingly. is it enough to say that the gain function is active and working properly?
what is the useful gain value range on aurora 9 and which HH value should we try just for the start?
thanks a lot.

Here are two good videos on gyro setup for the aurora 9 from Finless Bob

Video Link ->Aurora 9 - Model Menus Part 5A - Gyro Menu basics (120 Megs)

Video Link ->Aurora 9 - Model Menus Part 5B - Gyro Menu advanced and tips! (99 Megs)

Covers it all pretty well.
