Fwiw because of the gear design in these servos my set that has about 150ish flights, and they have absolutely no slop at all. Absolutely none. I can't say that for any other metal geared servo I've ever had. The servos that I ran before these had about 1/8 inch of slop at the end of the horn in them due to the slop that built up over the course of maybe 80 flights in various machines. The precision of these servos is unparalleled as of yet. They feel much more solid in the air over anything else I've ever used. For hard 3d flying styles the outrage servos hold up much better than any I've ever had.

Just FYI.

I noticed the same thing. There are two possibilities that come to my mind:
1. The gear in the picture is brass. Frankly, it looks like it.
2. The gear in the pciture is actually titanium nitride surface treated. This can be done as a surface deposition coating on other metals, or, under very, very controlled conditions, a case hardening on a titanium gear.

Titanium nitride is an awesome performing treatment, provided the substrate is pretty tough as well. Would make the gears last indefinitely, even under Capi's command. However, this surface does not normally look like the color in the pic. I suspect some gears, perhaps a pinion closer to the servo motor shaft is actually brass, where the torque transmitted is much lower than it is between the final gears close to the spline shaft.

the Servo I am waiting for them to rebadge and modify is the MKS ds-760, that to me is to be the ultimate TR servo for peeps up to 6V hands down, lets see this Outrage version of that servo ASAP please, I'd love to try it!!!

If you're keen to try it, why wait until it has an Outrage logo stuck onto it?

Because the Outrage tail servo has been designed to Charley Stephens spec's, this is NOT simply a re-branded servo
