Well I have juts stripped out the heavy ass beastx out of the 250

The beastx and sat and sat adaptor comes in at 24.5g unit on its own was 19.12g
The Vx1n with sat comes in at 14.6 unit on its own is 10.27g

Very happy with that saving, so based on that my all up weight should be down to 238g

That's a serious saving, be sure to let us know how it flies, I haven't flown BeastX, curious to see what you think.

My 250 definitely started to handle better once it got under 310g, but when its heavier if you can run 4500rpm that transforms how it handles.

Will do Myx, I like the beastx it's incredably stable, but the fine tuning is limited, in effect I think you can only adjust gains then through tx mode flip roll rate and expo, but you do have the parameter changes, that can alter characteristics, I am keeping the unit for future projects, poss oxy type in the future,

I just bought one each of those Zippy Compacts, so I've got a 25C and 35C. I'm still busy breaking them in so haven't had chance to see how they fly yet, but my god they're light. They're a good 10g lighter than the Nanotech 850mAh packs I've been using.

They were 62-63g new, but after I shortened the main lead and put an EC2 plug on there both batteries are coming in at around 62g!

I bought a couple of those because they are so light and they have done alright for my old lady flying style. I would be curious to know how they do for someone who pushes them harder.

I've got a ton of spare parts and a good set of scales, but I've only had a 250SE and that for less than a year, so I don't really know the models well enough to be certain which edition my spare parts are from.

I think they're likely 250SE parts as they're from a second hand SE, but I'm not 100% sure and I don't have any of the other editions to weigh.

Well I don't notice any difference in flying, they hold headspeed fine in punch outs and tic-tocks. I wouldn't say I'm a really aggressive 3D flier, but for typical 3D flying they certainly seem to fly fine.

However both the 25C and 35C packs came down with significantly lower voltages than my Nano-tech packs. Now this was the first flight of the Zippys but they'd had 5 gentle cycles to break them in, and the nano-tech packs have had 50-75 cycles each (vague numbers as I don't track battery flights individually).

The nano-tech packs came down at 11.41V (34%) and 11.49V (44%). The zippy 35C came down at 11.23V (14%) so I flew really gently on the 25C and it still came down at 11.28V (14%).

The voltage on the Zippys did climb back up after resting, showing I'd drained about half the pack, but they clearly sag a lot more under load at the moment. I'll keep flying them and see how they pan out.

Interesting. Thanks for the update. Mine are resting comfortably waiting for the return of longer days and better weather...

The metalic bearing blocks of main shaft, metalic tail boom mount and metalic front gear mount are lighter than plastics?

What is the weight of these parts: plastics and metalics?

I don't think so, no.

For each bearing block it's 0.81 for the plastic, 1.21 for the metal. I weighed these a while ago but then forgot I'd done it :-)

Ha! Yeah, I did too and I forgot too. Here's what's in my spreadsheet:
Bearing holder, Al 1.2
Bearing holder, plastic 0.9

Does anyone ever thought of using (or already using) Lynx ds883hv, only 5,25g, in the 250 tail?

The 250 usually needs a very capable tail servo, and a 5.25g servo is not likely to be so... no?

Its a bit slow for me for the tail, the DS76t and DS95i are still hard to beat there. The DS76t in particular is lightweight and extremely fast. For me the extra 2g for the 76t is well worth it, that extra speed really helps the tail hold, but I do run Chinese weights as I saw a good few people mention they'd burnt out a DS76t.

Having said that, I am wanting to try those Lynx servos on the cyclic :-D, I've been saying to Lynx on the forums that I'll gladly test them on a 250 if they can come up with a mount for them. The regular cyclic servos are actually a 450 spec, and I reckon these little ones may have enough torque.

I haven't heard from Lynx whether they'll make a mount, but I do know they're working on an Oxy2 which will be a 250 size machine. I'm expecting to see that later this year.

With DS76T we must run with only 5v, reducing the speed of the Align cyclic servos (ds415m), but on other hand we gained 5/6g

Other ds76t negative point is its nylon gear..I will tested 250 with ds76t of my 180cfx...

Lynx Ds883hv discarded ....

I need to reduce a little the weight of my original 250pro dfc, which is still 332g (I want 315/320g) and in this point tail servo could help, because I am already with belt, talon15 and a canopy lighter (-15g).

About Lynx servos for 250 (and oxy2) I believe they will Kst (like x8) which need frame adapt.

I dunno, my DS76t has been running with the 5.5V from my Talon for a lot of flights without any problems :-)

My 250 is at 408 flights now, and the vast majority of those have been with the DS76t. I reckon its had at least 300 flights and 8-9 crashes without so much as a hiccup from that servo :-)

PS. To drop an easy 5g, pick up the HobbyKing HK250 skids, its a dirt cheap drop in replacement. Cheapest and easiest way to lose weight short of just taking the canopy off :-)

I asked Horizon Hobby UK and was advised that the DS76 and DS76t servos would be fine at 5.5v, and to that I have not had a problem since I installed them,
