Hi Again, Sorry for the stupid question, but what does BEC actually stand for and mean? What does the BEC do and why would it be an advantage be using a BEC. Is it wise to go for a data logger of some kind or can the Jive ESC log basic flight conditions that can later be downloaded and checked? How often do most of you grease your motor bearings and is it essential to purchase a greaser as part of getting all the bits and pieces together? What grease do you all find best to use?

Thanks again for all the help from all you Logo pilots, I must say you all seem very helpful. I believe with the good help I’m getting hear ill setup a good performing machine. I’m sill battling to decide between as 600 3D or SE…

BEC stands for Battery Elimination Circuit. All it does is supply your receiver/V-bar with power from your flight pack rather than have you use a separate smaller lower voltage battery pack just to run your receiver/V-bar.

Almost all modern speed controllers have them built in, but the Kontronic Jive’s one is particularly good because it can supply a lot more amps than most others. This is important if you are going to run big servos and push them hard as the servos draw all their power from the receiver/V-bar.

Can you share what size braded wire are you all using to protect your different wires like those to the servos and ESC on the logo and what wiring method wiring routs work best for a good clean build.

Just search for pictures of wiring, you will have to be a little creative.

Hi Again, I know I need a 12 T pinion but surly there must be some or other spec that I need to make sure the pinion marries the motor as well as the Logo’s 600’s main gear as well as the Scorpion 4035-560’s shaft.

As long as it is a herringbone gear and it is designed for a 6mm motor shaft, it should work.

This should be the right choice

So should I go for the slightly cheaper HP-HS4035-560 Hyperion 560 KV Brushless Motor or the reliable Scorpion HKIII-4035-560? I think I have decided on the servos, ill probable go for the BLS254 on the rudder and the BLS 451 on the cyclic.

The Scorp series III are supposed to have better cooling than the older style which the Hyp is a re-brand of.
I have the Hyp' in a 4025 and the Scorp in a 4035, the Hyp looks better IMO.
For the same money I would go BLS251. Higher res and Metal Gear, works flawless with VB

I’m also battling to decide on the blades, I first thought I’d go for the 623mm but I then thought I’d go for the 690mm. I recon the 690 would make the heli seem possibly a lot more lighter due to the larger disk but would increase the hang time quite a bit. Probably the 623mm blades would be best for all out 3D type flying. 700mm IMO are a definite, No?

I like the mini V-bar but some say the full size version is better, I feel the mini fits better and uses less space, or am I wrong? I was keen for some matching EDGE blades but unfortunately Ready Heli don’t have the 105 tail blades in stock. Should I try something else?

Why do some 600's have black skids and others white?

690's are your max on a 600SE
640 max on 6003D
I have flown with 600's, 620's and 693's. I like the 623 the best overall.
They give good speed and fly light enough, 600's for max cyclic speed at a loss of some max speed.
The 693's are awesome too for big air and high speed but are definitely more "sedate" than the other choices.

Can't go wrong with any really just depends on personal taste.

White skids come on SE version but can swap between Black/White, it's $20ish for either color set.
