Default Upgrading straight main gear to the newer version slant version

Since I changed motors years ago I have stripped gears constantly. Even the KDE main gear does not hold up well. I would like to try the new slanted version but wanted to know what parts are required for the conversion. Obviously the pinion and main but Amis the OWB a concern? Thanks.

OWB are the same, if you don't have the adjustable motor mount and possibly the 3rd mainsahft bearing you may need those as well to get the correct backlash, the helical gear will put more lateral pressure on the mainshaft hence the need for the 3rd bearing. You should be good if you already have those.

Thank you ksheli. I do have all of those because I was experimenting with other gears and I was concerned about the gear mesh separating under extreme loads so I added the 3rd bearing. This motor has been drivetrain troublesome but I'm addicted to the power. I might have to go up on the pinion and lower the head speed via esc. That might alleviate some of the torque stress.
I even have this old FAD gear
