This is a the first I've seen something like this. Are there other such devices? Anyone using something similar?
Pretty slick, most people make their own.

Hi,
I just got 1S/7A ESC from HK, but I have a the same problem.
Could you tell me where you soldered the cap?
I tried several options, but the result is the same - the motor doesn't start properly.
You mention "on the resistor divider network" - what exactly does that mean?
thank you

I circled it in red.

I don't know if others do this, but I didn't like the main esc shutting down without also shutting down the tail. I lost 1 tail rotor from this. I disabled the low voltage shutdown in the esc and just let the 3-in-1 shutdown the main and tail through it's control signal. I think it works better that way. Latter version of the BLheli code do have some degree of voltage threshold settings.

Default Default throttle range in throttle

I am trying to build a helicopter controlled with ipad via bluetooth 4.0 instead of classical remoter.

The problem is that ESC has to be calibrated through remoter at the first time. I want to set the throttle range just in the BLHeli program, anyone can help me with that!

Thanks a lot !

The SiLabs version of BLHeli has been developed a lot further than this Atmel version: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=390517
There throttle range is programmable for PPM (standard 1-2ms input).

I do not know the F45 receiver and what signal it gives, so I can not be of help here.
Also it is not possible to point out specific changes in the code, I'm afraid you'll have to dig into the code to do such changes .

Can you show me the important position ?, edit the code that you have to do with MCPX. I will apply it to suit my helicopter.

such as changing certain parameters in the code ?

Default Settings for the C05 motor?

I purchased the Turbo Ace 411500 Brushless CO5 Motor 11500 KV and I would like to know where to find the settings or spec's for this motor. I would like to program my OverSky 10a PNP V3 Brushless ESC using the BL Heli software. So far I have everything needed to complete my project except the correct values.

In the Motor / Gear Setup I have the following fields:

mCPX lipo 1 15500 KV pole _? pinion 8 M-gear 64 Comp_?

Thanks for the help

Rich

Lipo is number of cells of your battery, motor Kv is the rating on your motor 11500KV, 6 poles for your motor, pinion is number of teeth on your motor, Main gear 64 teeth, Compensation factor should be fine at default 81.

Unless you're running in governor setup mode, those numbers won't make any difference. It's there just to give you an idea of what your headspeed will be at a certain throttle percentage that you set on governor target rpm.

Default Settings for the C05 motor?

Thank you for the feedback. The problem as I see it, I didn't know how to find the motor spec's such as how many poles for the motor winding. I wanted to try the governor mode (looks very nice), So you need to know the data to insert into the fields. If the wrong information is in the program the motor will not run to its potential. The C05 motors have been around awhile and they are not the strongest but I like the size.

Do you have any other tips for governor mode?

Rich

Personally I am not likely to spend more time or effort on the Atmel version of BLHeli. But the souce code is open so the task is open to everyone .

I only met one single difficulty , please help me end

time has begun, motor works very difficult, always shock.Once spinning, ok

I use the motor with 9 states, 6 pole.

the following parameters can be changed?

Quote:
.equ PWM_SETTLE = 50 ; PWM used when in start settling mode
.equ PWM_STEPPER = 80 ; PWM used when in start stepper mode ??
.equ PWM_AQUISITION = 80 ; PWM used when in start aquisition mode ??
.equ PWM_INITIAL_RUN = 40 ; PWM used when in initial run mode ??
These parameters control the pwm used in the various phases of the startup.
.equ STEPPER_STEP_BEG = 3000 ; ~3300 eRPM ??
.equ STEPPER_STEP_END = 1000 ; ~10000 eRPM ?
.equ STEPPER_STEP_DECREMENT = 5 ; Amount to decrease stepper step by per commutation
These parameters control the rpm that is forced in the beginning and end of the stepper motor phase, and the decrement per revolution.
.equ AQUISITION_ROTATIONS = 2 ; Number of rotations to do in the aquisition phase
.equ DAMPED_RUN_ROTATIONS = 1 ; Number of rotations to do in the damped run phase

Hi,

maybe my recent post fits better in this thread which I just found.

The esc looks different to those I flashed so many times before.
It has an atmel Atmega8 processor on the PCB.
The question for me is now if it is flashable with the latest BLHeli code. I have an USBasp stick here to flash atmel processors.
I read somewhere that atmel based escs are no longer supported for flashing BLHeli. Is that right?
Perhaps someone of you can provide me with a flashing manual for this esc.

Default Should I be able to reflash via Cleanflight passthrough

Using an arduino I reflashed a Emax 12a ESC. One of the things I noticed that I was not able to use external hex files in BLHelisuite even though there is a button to choose the hex file. I ended up using the XP 12A file. The ESC works but I am not able to read from it using the standard control wire via a Naze32 FC. I can only read it using an Arduino.

Does anybody know if this should work?
