Can you set the timer for one time out on the throttle stick

Sure can. What are you trying to achieve? Countdown to zero, count up etc. Do you want the counter to stop when you shut the throttle or not? What switch do you want for the reset?
Sorry for all the questions, but answer those & the rest is easy to tell you.

What i found that when you set it on the throttle stick when you go to idle up it stops at full negative

Yes it does stop at full neg, but unless you spend lots of time at full neg, & most don't then the start/stop of the timer has negligible impact & is pretty close. You could set it for a one time start by throttle, but you'd have to use a virtual channel & a mix.

Why don't you use throttle hold to start and stop the timer?
