X4II build done
Was a quick 2 day build, all setup ready for a pre maiden, after 5 gaui's and vbar's it goes quick...lol. that is even after some frame mods to fit the ecs...and added bases for the lighting components.
Now too wire it for some night-time fun.... This will take time as I plan to strip back all led strips. position, and drill only the led holes. All strips to be hidden inside the canopy. Carbon tubes will run the boom area, exposing only the lighting I want on the boom and hide all wiring too the tail lighting. all to be done with short multi-connections on the canopy to keep things clean. I would really love to be able to have the leds "highlight" the green/yellow nose portion of the canopy? would be the first thing I will work on and sure it is possible.... Defiantly red on the tail assembly, my preference, have kdbb tail blades on the way, may have to change the cluster led color, see what I receive? Will have bright white leds focusing to the ground under skids with on off switch ability...just to help emulate the dreaded fast approaching hard surface...lol be nice to have these turn on via gps ? lol Just another fun winter project..... Fly safe, drive safe, be safe. The Birdman BTW any input is greatly appreciated |

This is a really nice looking heli! Your plan sounded really ambitious. Did you go ahead with the project to make it a night flyer? If so I really would love to see some pictures...

Drilling the holes in the canopy is a dusty mess.. Did that last year with my warp 360.
But i like the result.. Simon |

This is really a nice and clean looking setup! Especially on the smaller bird it must have been a challenge to get the wiring clean for skids, tail, etc!
