Hi guys

Just in case anyone was wondering if the new Spartan Vortex FBL controller was up to the job, here is a little something to convice you. I know it's not a Belt-CP, and not an ordinary pilot, but either way, I don't think it could be done if the controller wasn't at least pretty damned good. I can't fault mine, but I'm not really good enough to tell, but having spent some time in the Spartan forum I spotted this and thought I would share.

Does the Vortex have any of the below?
1. Governor
2. Data logging
3. Bailout
4. GPS

At this stage of competition it would need 3 out of 4 to call my attention. BTW, anyone knows how they're doing on sales front?

Sut, ol' buddy, if it weren't for the fact the camera was in focus I would have sworn it was you flying!

That's an excellent example of why Alan makes the big bucks!

By the was Andrew, when are you going to start practicing the head-button rub piro's?

I like it well enough, though I have not had enough flights to get it exactly where I want it yet. The weather has just not been good enough to encourage me to go out and fly recently.

It has governor and some data logging points, including vibration analysis. It has no bailout or GPS right now. I guess since that is only 2 of the 4 then it is not for you. Your stance may well be right Jerry. I'm happy with my MBs really, and as I described to Angelos it would have to be one incredible controller, I mean leaps and bounds ahead of the MB to make me change all of my existing controllers. I cannot outfly my MBs, so they are good enough for me. I just thought I would share the video with you guys, as I thought it was impressive, particularly with regard to the piro stability.

Not sure on the sales. I don't think he has really started yet. I think it is possible that only the initial pre-release batch of 12 have been sold. Since those were gobbled up in half a day I haven't noticed the product come back into stock again, but then again it is more than possible that I missed that.

I know, it's true, I am getting better. Your momentary confusion is entirely understandable. Just wait until I get my new camera. Then the deception will be complete.

Dunno about the head button rub piros, though it does look fun to try. I know you were joking, but it could be something to do. I guess I would need a huge sheet of marine ply, or similar, to throw down on the grass first if I were going to have a go and for sure I woudn't be trying it with anything bigger than the 450.

Y'know it took a second read for the penny to drop with that, but I lol'd for a good minute or so when I did

Very impressive flying indeed....was hanging on for dear life with those circuits at eye level! And the speed of the piro flips Loved it!!
