Angry auto slip problem at low temp & trottle hicups

Hi,

Problem #1:
I know it was discussed in other treads (MX and T-Rex) and what has said is that the autorotation bearing is slipping in the gear. My autorotation bearing (MX-400Pro) is very thight in the gear I am sure of it. So thight that I am unable to remove it from it. I think te problem reside in the fact that when the ambiant temp is below 5 celisus (41F) the main shaft shrink just enough to slip in the bearing. when the temperature is above that there is no slip at all. Is this a problem with MY autoratation bearing or a design problem?

Problem #2:
my mx-400pro is all stock. I use a DX6i (normal T:0-25-50-75-100, P:25-35-50-75-100 Curve). When I get my trottle stick to center, my rpm look ok. As soon as I go over that it like the rpm drop a little in stead of going up. I am able to lift the heli but barely and it has a balloon way of going up. I also tried wit a Trottle curve of 0-50-75-95-100 with the exact same result. It like it does not like going positive pitch.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Hello Again B.

1. I had the same issue with the bearing sliping or not catching during the initial spool up. The way I fixed this was to pull on the head to snug the gear to the shaft bearing and then repostion the main shaft collar to the top of the top main bearing. Less play and the slip issue was gone.

2. I had to lower the pitch curve and increase my throtle curves to 55 65 75 85 95 100. I use a Mystery ESC FM30A on the 400pro.

Great Info LT,

What I end up doing was to replace the whole autororation gear system. After doing so, I took time to look at the autorotation shaft. The problem is that when it slip one time. This shaft is ruined and need to be changed. I will get a new one and test in in my old gears just to see but I am pretty sure that the shaft is the only thing that need replacement.

Hat did you end up doing with the pitch curve? +7 -7 or something...

Thanks again
