Default View 540 Logs

So I see on Skookum web page that the new update allows us to read 540 logs. I bought the activation key but all I can see are the stick inputs and such... No Vibration Logs! What am I missing here? lol.

Only the 720 has accelerometers and therefore can log vibes. Its also why the 540 does not have self leveling

What he said. You will see everything except the vibe logs. However, it's still good for tuning cyclics and governor performance, and analyzing problems.

Well that sucks. Only thing I was interested in was vibe logs... I just assumed it meant vibe logs when it said 540 logs. Waste of $35. Should have just bought the new tail hub assembly instead of trying to prove my suspicion to myself.

Don'' sweat it, if $35.00 is all you ever waste flying helis, please send us all a detailed explanation of how you did it

I'm still trying to figure out why my Cyclic gains won't adjust with my 540 and 14SG.

Will the Dataviewer Pro plot the voltage of the servo rail in the SK-540 Clear?

Ok. I bought it and got the license key. Only thing, I cannot locate the software.

I found a picture of the "Skookum Robotics Data Viewer Pro" on the wiki page. How to get that software and how do you bring it up?

Please advise. Thanks,

Paul

You can do what Georgi suggests or you can try re-installing the setup software. The plotting software is included in the setup software installer package. You can download the latest version here:

http://www.skookumrobotics.com/updates/

Make sure that the option to install the data viewer is checked when you run the installer. I think it is selected by default. The installer will also give you an option to install a shortcut on your Windows desktop. The icon looks like the one in the "SK_Plot" window in Georgi's post, above.

Georgi and SpeedTape,

Thanks - I found the data viewer on the administrator desktop. Applied the pro license key and the logs look good. Cool stuff.

Whenever I get a new log after a flight it always has the date 9/19/2014 at 12:00pm. Is there some clock I need to set somewhere?

Thank again,

Paul

There is no clock on the FBL unit. Those are Windows file stamps being placed there by your PC.

Ok, maybe I'm not "sending" to the gyro. How do I do that?

My last flight was this morning 9/27/2014, but I did not see a log with today's date.

Please advise. Thanks,

Paul

Georgi,

Just got another log dated 9/19/2014, 12pm that I know is new data. I know it is new because I changed the power source on the servo bus and the new log shows the correct (changed) voltage on the bus. The log also had a new name with the number bumped by one = LOG204. Previous ones were LOG203, LOG202, etc.

1) Do I have to keep the gyro powered on since the last flight to get a log with the current date?

2) If I remove and re-install the entire Skookum Digital Flybar 4.02b program will I be able to re-apply my same Data Viewer Pro license key I use now?

Thanks,

Paul

=] Paul sorry, I don't pay any attention to the log date, I know what the flights consisted of, and view them as such. the 540 keeps overwriting a small IC chip so you are only as good as your last flights can show.

If you remove the program (why?) or want to use it on another machine, SK will need to get involved, it's a one off thing..
