Well I'm a Uvular owner now. Just made a few flights at 2150 today, its fast and sounds cool. Don't know how fast though, think I need a radar gun.

185Km/hr over a flat distance of 200m and on 606 mm Rails blades as it was in the 530 - 650 mm class.

And how fast did you go with the smaller heli you won class honours in?

I thought this thread needed to be back on the first page. Since getting my L600 the thought of getting this fuse has been on my mind.....ALOT. Although I would mainly use it for high speed runs, it would not be anything for competition. Not sure if I would go with the orange one or the white one and have it custom painted.

Orange is exceptionally visible for speed run.
White is great if you want to do a custom paint job

Btw - the fuse makes it very stable for speed flights.

OK that does not help me decide at all. lol. Orange is my color for sure, and would be cheaper. The white one with a custom paint job would be sweet, but would cost more and take some time to get done. Would I REALLY need longer main/tails if I was just looking to mess around at the field VS entering a speed run event? I'm still on the fence about the fuse but I keep going over this thread time and time again.

The stock Orange is very good, no need for a custom job unless you really wanted it.

You will however need to buy the Logo 600SE boom and belt. I've ran it in competition on 606 blades and 95 tails.

Yep I know about the SE tail. I even talked to Mikado about the new frame working in this fuse. Of course since the new frame is not final yet they don't know about fitment at this time. I have also looked into the aluminum guides/gear for this. Not sure if I would really need them but would be an easy thing to do before going in the fuse. Would these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131044648614...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (or ones like it) be a good idea or a waste of money?

Not needed, the original plastic version is more than adequate.

Go for the SX head too. You will be fine.

Are you talking about the plastic gear/guides being adequate or the other parts?

Just the plastic tail boom guide.

I wonder if anyone had looked to see if the Uvular fuse fits the 690SX mechanics ?

If you remove the new frame extension, the rest will fit.

Or you can just use the old frame with the new mechanics.

Also, the 690SX battery tray extension at the front of the frames will fit inside the Uvular fuse without modification to the fuse...with about a millimeter to spare.

You do have to redo the front lower fuse mount stand-offs a bit as the battery extension changes the spacing between the fuse and the frame at that location, but nothing that can't be easily overcome with some different spacers and washers etc.
