Default Recommendation for good magnified light for workbench?

I recently moved my heli work to a dedicated work surface. I picked up a sit/stand desk from someone a company selling some extras. Even if I sit, I can raise it higher so I'm not hunching over so much. In any case, now that I've got a dedicated space, I want to replace my current magnified light.

I'm looking for recommendations for a good quality light. I think I want something with slightly higher than 5 diopter (2.25x magnification), maybe something that has a more powerful swing away lens or something similar? I'd like to say cost is not a factor, but that's not true. I'm open to paying more for a high end model if I can see the benefit.

What size helis do you usually work with? Depending on how much you use the magnifier, you may be better served separating the two. Get a decent quality light with a high quality light bulb and a separate decent magnifier.

$15 to $20 is all you need to spend on a lamp:

$20 gets you a CREE 100W LED Bulb

$5 gets you a "Helping Hands w/ Magnifier"

What size? 450 and 500 right now, but the I'm also crimping and soldering balance connectors, servo or TX switch sized things. So nothing *really* small.

Probably a 2.25x (this seems common) magnifier will work for most things. It's not just soldering though. Sometimes I just want a ton of light and magnification while a fish a zip tie through a frame of a mostly completed heli.

I've already got a helping hand setup that I really like: http://www.amazon.com/QuadHands-Help.../dp/B00GIKVP5K

I've tried the magnifier on the helping hands before, I never that style.
