TP820CD versus 308duo
Trying to decide which way to go on this? I have a 820 currently with no issues. Max size batteries is 6s. When flying my biggest electric (a 600) I use 2x6s in it so I am still basically a max 6s setup. 20 amps seems to be fine for me when I charge my 500 heli pack. Usually 8 to 9 minute charge time from storage depending on outside temp. Could go too 12 to 13 minutes if cold out. Just wondering if I should get another 820 or go to the 308duo? Read some issues with the 820 it seems but mine has been fine since I have owned it. Just a little worried is all plus the new programing of the 308 if I get it. Reading the manual it seems easy but seems there are a lot of things to select from. Batteries for me range from 1s up to 6s. Any help would be appreciated.

The 308Duo (all the Duos, really) have a lot of things you *can* set. But you really don't have to. You can just select LiPo, set your charge current, and go, if you'd like.
The Duos have 1.2A of balance current, or 2.4A if you combine the two channels. I'm guessing the TP is 0.5A or less, so balancing will be faster on a Duo. The bigger screen is nice. If you ever need to discharge large packs because you couldn't fly them, the Duos provide nice options. You can discharge from one channel into resistors or light bulbs connected to the other channel, if you'd like. I can discharge at up to 650W on my 308Duo, this way, which is 26A on 6S packs. The Duos are more powerful, and probably offer some additional features vs the TP. Given that the 820CD seems to be the same $270 as the 308Duo, I'd have a hard time thinking of why to go with the 820CD instead. ProgressiveRC is offering 10% off for the holiday, as well; they are an outstanding vendor.
