Charging TBS Groundstation Lipo
Hi Folks,
I have a shiny new TBS Groundstation 3s 5000mAh Lipo: http://www.team-blacksheep.com/products/product:85 I am wondering how I might charge it with a PL6 / MPA board. this battery has a balancer built into it and has no balance tap adapter. I have tried to create a new preset for it using the charge control software and setting balance options to "No Balance" but I still get the Bad Cell Count when starting the charge. Is it possible to do? I noticed that the small / unbalanced profile has "unbalanced charge" set in the CCS but I cant set that option for a new profile. Cheers for any help / insights |

The balance leads are used for more than just cell balancing. The charger uses the per cell voltage during the charge to detect unsafe pack conditions, as well as to verify the cell count of the pack during the charge. The unbalanced preset is limited to 2s maximum and 2 amps.
