Finally got my mild motor installed but it has no power. Seems like headspeed is really low, barely flies, bogs easily and Miniaviation 190mah batteries only last 30 seconds to 3.7V. An suggestions on what to check?

Did you change your throttle curves to flat across the board? You should have one value for each mode, I would start with 60% in normal mode and 70 to 75 in idle up. At 85% I could barely control it and had to lower the value to 78 in idle up 2. I'm running the mild kit and with stock batteries I'm getting 4 minutes with foward flight and moderate flipping.

Default nano

well im running

normal-0-25-50-75-100
idle-1= 85-85-85-85-95
idle-2=100-100-100-100-100

this is not very powerful. i had to turn pitch down to 90/90 for motor to even pull it. the stock motor pulled 100/100

i can spin motor freely (back lash perfect)

Any ideas

Your normal mode won't work, it needs to be flat like iu1 and iu2. Your heli should be screaming like mad in modes 1 and 2. Try setting normal mode to flat 70 and go through the esc arming process. That may be the problem if you are initializing in normal mode with that curve. If that's not it, hopefully one of the experts will chime in.

ya i did the arming mode with a flat curve of 60 and still the same. this motor should pull 100 no problem but bogs at 94

check solder joints between the motor and esc first, all 6 wires in the 3 pairs must make good contact, most non blheli escs won't even start motors with one of the wires in a pair not making contact. the symptom is usually low power output if the motor will start at all.

Worst case is a broken motor wire near the motor from handling/install....

Post pics of your installs if possible.

Also what temp are your batteries at before you fly?

solder points are good. i am using the stock batteries for the moment . the hyperion 160 are 25c as well so i dont see how they will help other than longer flight time

mine starts fine

Wild kit needs hyperion 180, 240 or light mcpx batts, too much current draw for batteries that fit in the stock skids. Can you check your 0 pitch 100% throttle rpm?

I flew my wild with the stock Eflite 150 before the larger LiPo order came in. It flew great. So much power...the Heli once idled up, wants to leap into the air. Just unbridled power.

So definitely something is wrong.

Your Normal curve is fine. But you can't really fly with that throttle curve. The heli will seem to lag.

Use your Normal mode to arm the ESC. (See arming instruction below) Then go to mid stick on the throttle and switch to Idled Up 1.

How I like to Arm to ensure you're not running into the Blade RX board's soft startup spooling feature, which will mess up the arming if you're running Governor Arm mode on your ESC.

Plug in battery.
Turn off throttle hold.
Move throttle stick up midway. You will hear a tone.
Move throttle stick all the way down. You will hear another tone to indicate that the ESC is now armed.

Now you're ready to flip to idled up mode to fly the heli.

That's 2000+ rpm short of where you should be with the wild... does the esc still have all of the default settings that it shipped with? Could you be in gov arm mode by accident?

Dylan said it should ship with normal gov mode. But if for some reason its in gov arm mode, this is how you would use it. Its what I use on my mcpx.

normal throt curve: 0 20 X X X
where X is whatever you want the final throttle percentage to be.
idle up throttle curve is usually a v curve that you play with to get your tail as responsive as possible, keeping all the values above 20%.

To fly, plug it battery with throttle all the way down, wait for initialization. Move to half stick and the esc beeps. This is 'arming' the gov, so it will try to hold whatever speed you have at half stick. Then go to zero stick and it will beep again. Then you're ready to fly. It will act normal at 20% or less, and above 20% is will hold whatever headspeed you've armed it with. So go to half stick and flip to idle up to take off and fly, then flip to normal mode and go to zero stick to stop.

If that ends up working, then either you can leave it there and use it like that, or change it by tx programming, but there's no point in trying to program without knowing if that's the problem or not, so try this out and see if anything different happens.

Kay well that's something we can rule out.
Um, Did you say your gear mesh was correct and not too tight? How about double checking that the motor isn't rubbing on and part of the frame or the servos? I had a servo on my mcpx somehow rub on the motor. But I can't imagine that the motor would start spinning at all if it was rubbing..
Can you post pictures of everything? I'm no pro, but I've done a few conversions on mcpx's and will install my nano kit as soon as it comes, so I might be able to help a bit, and I have nothing better to do today lol.

Default motor

nothing rubs and back lash is perfect. this setup is missing 2000 rpm according to dylan
i think kit is bad or the little esc was not programmed . i built this very carefully and did not pinch any wires. no servos touch and motor spins very freely. i took my time. I will not buy another kit to fix it. i will go back to stock before i dump any more crazy money in to it. Like i said the stock motor pulls 100/100 pitch with little bog. this motor bogs 94/94 bad motor lags when i give full pitch and then tail blows out. Not happy at all
