Default Upgrading from CT6b to what?

Ok i have been flying 250s and 450s for about 8 months now and im at the point where im confident enough to start upgrading to quality equipment. I mainly am intersted in flying 450 helis for the time being.

I have been flying with the crappy ct6b remote, although while learning to fly had a walkera devo 7 with my genius cp which i loved how much better the control was.

SO my question is could I get some recommendations on transmitters?

I am building a 450 pro flybarless heli with tarot zxy atm with align components.

Leaning twards the dx7 that you can buy off ebay for 299 with reciever,

or this Futaba 7ch.

I am basing this on mostly chatter ive read in the forums but was hoping some of the pros here might chime in on a good easy to program radio with good support from the forums. would like it under 300 if possible as well.

Thank you for your help! love this forum! (i dont post alot but find all the info i need here!)

I guess the price dropped recently on the DX7s. I see it on Horizon Hobby's website for $299 with the same 3 receivers also, with free shipping.

It's a good Tx and a good price, but just be aware, that's the normal price now.

That transmitter should take you pretty far and do what you need. I think it's a good choice for where you're at. I have a DX7 and also a Walkera 2801 Pro and been in the hobby a couple of years now, with a dozen planes and helis. Still loving my DX7, though I must admit, I drool a little when I see the DX18 or a JR 12X.

I've never owned Futaba, so I can't comment, other than I know it's one of the top brands as well.
