Just checked and my replacement board hasn't got conformal coating on in while the original BNF board has.

Your cutting out issue sounds like a power problem. Cracked cable at the plug perhaps? Dirty terminals plug/battery? Old batteries?

Whenever it stated happening to my factory BL kit I just had it replaced under warranty. 3in1 remains the same.

Interesting, maybe they have stopped bothering with the conformal coating now then, esp since it's now discontinued.

I doubt HH UK would be keen to supply me with a replacement 3 in 1 after I've removed the original main motor connector, replaced the power wires and connector with 24 awg wire and added the XP-3A brushless ESC to the board.

I never fly my Nano outside, it's my go to heli for in the gym hall, which is fun, It's a great heli for trying new things out, but the hard wooden floor is not forgiving in a crash. Crash badly, and the 3 in 1 can get a bad enough hit to bend it at the bottom, sometimes causing solder joint fractures.

Ah, the joys!!
