That will work for me... particularly if an extended boom is available to support 800mm blades. I'm looking to accumulate build projects for next winter.

Fly safe, Glover

Hell Yea!
Can I say Hell?
That's what I've been looking for man!
Love It...I'm digging those skids, (among other things I see)

Tell ya what. I'd hate to do it, BUT...Just go ahead & box that thing up
& send it to me (next day air) & I'll test it out for you MinAir folks.
Seriously, it looks fantastic & I applaud your mission to offer petro_nitro_elec.

Canopy will be the same as Whiplash Nitro and Electric. There are pics of Bobby's machines floating around the MA nitro and electic sections. He has a custom paint scheme, but you can see the shape.

I've been saving my penneys since this was hinted at in the new year.
I love my spectra to pieces and cant wait to get another gasser to fly.

Great choice on the RC engine, i'm realy liking that.

Looking forward to my third Min air heli

Regards
Joe

Which engine is it designed for and/or which engine is that?

Is that a logictech 6100 gyro on there? LOL I thought I was the only one with one of those still laying around.

Yep! Chris loves that gyro, and it has been pretty much flawless over the past few years. The engine is a bone stock (save for air filter and muffler) zenoah g26 rc motor.

This looks great, I was just going to ask if there is a new gasser coming then I saw this. I love my new fury and want another one already, was going to get the spectra but I think I'll wait.

As long as testing continues to go well it should be out shortly after the electric and nitro are released. Whiplash Gas shares the same head, tail, and some frame components with the E and N machines which are in production now.

Ya, I've been flying the 6100s so long my left thumb must be calibrated to it. I've tried a few others that people have been raving about, but for me this one and the newer Futaba gyro's are the only ones that "feel right." Maybe my left thumb needs to get out more??? lol

I got into helis around 2003 and had a couple of 50 size birds. The only helis I fly of late are the 450s and I currently have a furion 450 that is new and am still trying to work some kinks out of it. I am very happy to see this version as I feel that my next big bird will be a gasser. I have not had anything bigger than a 450 in years and I can feel my "Spidey" senses tingling with this one!

Any chance it will be offered in a 'engine head forward/ rear tank' configuration as well?

No, probably not. This design was preferred as it allows a proper CG. With the servos directly under the swash, and no bellcranks it dictates this part of the design.

Brian,

Do you know what the kit gear ratio is slated to be yet?

Thanks!

there will be more than one available

I don't think they've determined which one should be the "std"

from what I've seen with the Whiplash Nitro, regearing is pretty easy

chris may weigh in on this
