tail problems after brushless
Well I upgraded to the hh brushless conversion about 2 weeks ago and from then om have had problems with the tail blowing out on 3d moves. Its the stock tail motor and has prob 100 flights on it.
I also have tried extending the boom without any results. Do you think the tail motor needs replacing? Any insight is welcome, thanks |

If it's has 100+ you should replace the tail motor. I went through tail motors monthly, they are very poorly built and don't last very long. Also, check for cracks in the boom. If there are cracks it will cause the little sucker to have no tail control. Sent from flying shrapnel that once was a heli

Maybe mechanical gain? I have the HH brushless kit, running stock sized 3D main blades, solid stretched tail, lynx stretch tail rotor. Tail stays solid for my amateur 3D flying.
(Can't seem to remember what size the tail rotor is... lynx now only shows 42mm... not sure if that's stock sized or stretched.. they had 2 versions last I bought stuff for my ncpx)

tail problems after brushless
Haha, that's what my LHS called it. I researched it and I think what they meant was belt tension in a bigger heli They have been known to say weird things in which I repeat...I'll go edit that... Sent from flying shrapnel that once was a heli

Re: tail problems after brushless
#1 cause of tail issues is vibrations.
Also, what throttle and pitch curves are you using?

I'm using stock throttle and pitch curves in manual.
Is there some you could recommend that would be better for 3d? |

Blade brushless upgrade
I have just upgraded my main with the Blade brushless motor, my nano has less than 10 flights in, everything is stock, running dx6i with the recommended settings for everything and the tail does not hold when I punch the collective...
Anyone with same issue? Suggestions? |
