Question Raptor 60 blade choices

Hi, I'm hoping for some advice on main blades.

I have an R60 completely bog standard with the TT70 engine currently on the supplied 66cm 'woodies'. Once its all run-in, I'd like to change those out for some carbon blades, but choices seem to be limited to:

Mavrikk Sport / Sport Patriot 680mm
Mavrikk G5 Pro 680mm
NHP Razor Pro 680mm

Or, is 68cm blade simply too much for this engine?

My skills are sport/aerobatics rather than 3D

Also, fitting carbon blades, would I need to swap out the standard head dampers for something harder?

Thanks to all.

The 70 size engine should handle any 690mm blade on the market.

Are you using the 95mm tail blades? Or the 105mm?
You might want to change to the Raptor 90 tail boom

Swap the whole head to an R90 SE head - or the R90 3D. Either one is better than the "all plastic" R60 head.
You can also bolt on the Trex 700LE flybared head. Minor mods to the linkages and such - but easy enough to do.

Thank you

Just the standard 95mm tail blades so far...

If I went to 690mm mains with the TT70 engine, would I need to change the gearing at all?

I think a metal head or at least head block will be one of the 1st upgrades I look at. Even the plastic block on my R30 rocks on the main shaft - I'm suprised they didn't use metal on the 60/90 as standard.

Only change the gear ratio if you want to change the head speed (due to longer blades).
Your GR should be set to keep the motor in its "sweet spot" (around 16,000 rpm???) for the head speed you fly at (1750 rpm???).

The R60 never had the option for the metal head.
The R90 had 3 options: All plastic, 3D and SE. The SE still had plastic bell-hiller mixing arms, but it was 99% metal.
Of course, we know that almost any part from the R90 fits on the R60.
