Default Toroidal Ring Q

This is probably a silly question, however would like some feedback from the folks in the know.

I've bought my TDR a shiny new Kosmik 160 and 4525 Ultimate and now busy wiring them in. I DO NOT want to ditch the toroidal rings as per the KT manual but I would like to know whether I can simply use a single ring for both BEC cables.

Also, is there a specific/recommended number of turns required around the ring?

The more turns, the better....to dampen any signals that might interfere with the MEMS gyros in your particular FBL controller...i.e. the 10.67 KHz signal and it's harmonics that eminate from the Kos and Jives.....and the toroids really work good....I posted some spectrum traces on this issue on another thread.

I've never measured the above using 2 cables, sharing 1 toroid.

But, with toroids, it's better to have the wire as physically close to the toroid as possible....and that would be hard do with just 1 toroid.

Toriods differ in characteristics, and the Kon toroids are selected because of the
frequency range of signals that they effectively dampen.

Thanks for the feedback EEngineer.
I did find your post and found it an interesting read. Since my OP and following the info in your post I've spent a bit of time getting both toroids fitted. Having the equipment to manufacture my own BEC leads helped.

Having the proper electronic equipment to see what's happening is the key
to solving these issues properly.....

And the solutions should able to be independently verified....given a test plan...
and so forth....you know the drill...
