Tail pitch travel

I am using Futaba BLS 256 and the arm that came in the package. I am using the middle 16MM hole per the manual. The problem is that I am not getting 100% travel with VBAR setting of 120 set on the tail both sides. Servo center makes the pitch slider arm 90 degrees to boom. How are you guys fixing this? Increase above 120 in VBAR, using different hole or it doesn't matter.

I have same servo and hole distance. I noticed the same thing during my build but when I looked at it 120 in each direction looked to the naked eye like almost 45 degrees of pitch. So although I wasn't using the whole travel, I figured the blades would just stall with more pitch, so 120/120 was plenty.

You say the arm is 90 deg to tail boom at servo centre - are the blades at zero pitch or maybe a couple of degrees towards the tail boom to counter torque? I don't look at whether the arm is square, just what the blades are doing.

You discribed my thought process to a tee. Yes, with the arm around 90 that gives a little pitch to counter the torque. This also leads means there is slightly more pitch one way than the other. Thanks for the reply. Has anyone else moved to the next hole and does it fly better?

My untested theory would be that if you move out a hole, you will get greater throw, but lose resolution. Because I think that the extra pitch gained would be either not used or not effective because it is too extreme, I would prefer to have the resolution.

But by all means give both positions a go and tell us the results!

I had the same issue with my MKS HBL 980.
The ball is now on 20mm and the value in vbar is 104 - 100 so that should be ok.
Did not try it on the field so update will be later.
