Actually, I foresee quite the application here, as big government moves into regulating the professional end of film work with multi's.

The issue I see with PhotoHigher's system is that it weighs as much as a battery and uses gun powder. Seems to me a co2 cartridge would be better, if not safer.

Fouling lines looks to be a problem to over come.

For the standard hobbiest, nothing can be better that just common sence, though.

starting from 00:58
The second model of the Ecilop aircraft (1 min 17 sec)


Ecilop-2 paracutes (year 2011):
Deployment method ballistic gun powder
Ignition System- Electric fuse
Weight - 2x220g = 440g (two capsules with parachutes)
Area of the parachutes 2x2.5m
RTF Weight of the Ecilop-2 - 6kg
Decent Rate - 5-6 m/sec

It was designed, made and tested by custom order. Buyer paid 2000 Euro.
P.S. I'm not using parachutes on my aircrafts.
