AccurRC takes for ever to load to the menu then you still have to wait another 10 minutes (not quite 10 minutes but close) for it to load the heli you wish to fly. AccuRC flys very well once you figure out how to set it up but still is missing blade over speeding during auto rotation. Its half the price so I tried it but still want to purchase neXt.

So just an update.
I have been using HELI-X, neXt and AccuRC 2 for over a year now and have most time in neXt. in my opinion neXt continues to be my go-to simulator. It just feels real once you turn up the gravity and get that jumpyness. I have hundreds of hours so far and my best trick is pirouetting flips, which is leading me to hurricanes. It feels so rewarding pulling off moves. However having said that about neXt, I think when it comes to learning how to fly HELI-X is better, it has more tools especially Auggies ring that made me able to do all those moves, I don't need it anymore but it would help a lot if it was standard on neXt. AccuRC is good to but it needs work. In the end neXt is best, imo. The UI is also better than HELI-X, but I own and support all. |

Compared to the cost of crashing, all three together are not that expensive. Each has its best features.

That's right all sims are better than none. I loved some of the fields in Heli-x demo but the heli's were lacking in performance. Not having enough speed to bail out of a situation. Kind of like flying a 700 at 1400 RPM.
The fields kept me coming back though, loved em. And I've found sometimes we all want to pop and flip all over the place and speed around like a pro but its better to slow it down and learn the move slow first. That's the best advice I ever got to learn piro flips. Do it slow as you can and break things down into smaller steps and work on it until you get it and add some more of the move as you progress.

I say give them all a try. Some of them, like Heli-X, have completely revamped their physics engine and feel much better. Others, like AccuRC, was thought to be a big resources hog but later versions are much more efficient and don't need a super computer to run. So just give them a try.
