YEAH! Two days of PEEEERFECT weather!

Flew two packs each morgning! Unfortunatly without the cameraman could either not partisipate or hold a camera due to the fact that the little cameraman (my 5m baby) was there too.

Anyhow. This thing is amazing in stablilty and agility. When everyone was talking about how stable she was on the forum I always just figured around hovering and in more wind but in every move and direction she is just great, not affected by anything but the stick movements!

Jonny, to answer you q: I do FFF, stall turns, just pulled of some stationary flips with suuuuuper ease thanx the great machine (!), high/low figure 8's etc...

Basically sport flying.

Here are some pics I took before and after (after with blades in blade holder). And Yes, that is frost you see there (-2 degrees celsius).

Boddan, glad your liking it Your brave doing those things already

We have had s**t weather here so last time I flew mine was on wednesday And now there is no parking allowed by the field I fly in so I gotta find a new field to fly in. I have one in mind but it is quite a far drive.

Too bad J, hope the weather improves!

It lookes like it will be lunch flying every day here now, the wether is great, almost no winds and very sunny! It feels great since we are comming from weeks of storm and constant rain!

Today I hope to do some rolls too and maybe bring the flips a little lower. Then maybe some inverted hover for a second or two whilst doing a flip.

Anyone have a good site or any good information about how to do different 3d manouvers. I mean, I can most likely figure them out my self but if I could have some tips and simple how too's then maybe I would learn to do them better faster and with less crashes...

realflight sim has an excellent training section with 3d demonstrated in heli and on the sticks ,, very usefull... and you can fly at the same time.

i know pheonix is a kick ass sim , i am not sure if it has 3d training .

other than that , head off to the video section and start watching the 3d vids here ,and on you tube

if you download them and watch them on media player , you can slow the vision down to see whats happening .

watch the Lukas Riva victory flight 08 , at half speed , its just awesome all those inputs , that dude must have 'Matrix' vision , to do it all full speed.

' iknow pheonix is a kick ass sim , i am not sure if it has 3d training '

Yup, I haven't played around with the sim so much the last month’s, (too much brothers in arms , far cry 2 and little big planet while I save up 4 the 500 esp)
But the 2,0 release/update is out, and new heli tutorials vid's with stick movement is ready for download. Just had a look at some of them, very well made.

These videos with full audio commentary are flown by expert pilots Mike Williams and Duncan Osborne,
and show a large range of different manoeuvres from the absolute basics to advanced 3D.
Look out for more demonstration flights and tutorial videos in the near future.

Seems like you have to have the phoenix sim for thos vid's...
Can they be downloaded anywhere else?

Today I did two consequtive flips and stall turns with 540 turn at the top. Was supposed to roll it today but the confidence was not really there and the thumbs where like ice sticks.

AAAH,

Could you not have asked this just a two hours ago!

By then I would have replied:
It is going really good, I have started up the heli season for real now, I have a great new field to fly on (only 150m from home) and it is great fun.

I do easy 3d, with tic tocs as the most advanced 3d trick in the bag... I am just about to purchase a 6s Hyperion-G335-3300mA to get more flight time and mor power out of the bird! This is a great hobby!

But since you ask now I will ammend this:
I just had my first chrash..... it was a small one but still. I think I overflew the second battery or I flew two packs to close and the esc was to hot or something. But it cut to half power mid flight - I was quite far of so I took her home fast and landed but in all hurry I put her down so that she tipped of the sidewalk.

Blades hitting tarmac... i had already hit throttle hold so the blades was slowing down.

After a quick check it seems I only need to replace all blades, I was already planning on going for align carbons on the rear...
