I repainted my home made Protos canopy. I did not make the 450 canopy in the photos, but I did paint it. The design is not totally mine; I got inspiration from pictures on the internet. Enjoy.

Fix it and fly. No doubt. I normally have them back in the air the next day.

I had not crashed in months. Then I paint both canopies and crash them both in one week. Ah man. Anyway, I was practicing inverted nose first flight (tail-in inverted is a bad orientation for me, nose-in inv. is fine). Did a back flip and dumb-thumbed it. I got the timing wrong and instead of stopping the flip and correcting my pitch I continued to try and flip and gave the wrong collective at all the wrong times! Like you said &*$# happens. It is the price I paid for pushing too hard, but I am sure I have learned a lesson from it. Not sure what though.

Nice canopies all!

Added a bit of yellow to mine since it was very hard for me to see in the near constant overcast weather we have had this winter.

What have you done to your PROTOS!

I want to know what kind of paint and how to paint.
Is that a PS spray?

Thanks! Its a Krylon job, sun yellow. Masked with scotch 33 electrical tape and paper. Roughed up the area to be painted with some 600 sand paper, cleaned with alcohol and sprayed.. It was easy enough and if the lousy Krylon can would have kept working I would have done another coat. Can just died still full of paint, oh well its good enough.

Made 6 flights today, way better on the eyes. Yellow shows well against overcast skys, at least for my eyes anyway.
