Default Battery connectors???

I am going to use these for my batteries for my new T250, HYPERION G3 CX 11.1V 3S 850 MAH 25C/45C LIPOLY PACK. What connectors do you use with these batteries? the ECS is only a 2 prong connector but that can be changed easy so what is the best way to go? Are these the best ones to use http://www.helidirect.com/align-jst-...69a-p-6875.hdx?

Word of caution about Micro Deans. One pole is exposed, sticking out & just waiting to make contact with something it shouldn't. (like the exposed metal part of a balance tap of said same battery). Short circuit & fire just waiting to happen.
A piece of snug fitting shrink tube over the MD plug in order to prevent contact is advised when the batt is not in use.

I'm running Deans Ultras on my new 250 SE. They work great and I only need one charge adapter. I've heard people say they have issues with getting it connected before the gyro intializes, but I'm not having any problem with that so far...

Cheers,
-->Justin

IMHO

while not impossible, this is definately less so than you would think. the bad stuff will really only happen when the poles of the battery are bridged, and since only one is exposed it's not likely at all. I've been using this type of connector for years with no issues whatsoever.

besides, isn't there a micro deans that is two and two (like the ultra plugs) also? I'm pretty sure i've seen them.

truthfully, aside from the general safety issues with electricity, i wouldn't worry about these connectors in the slightest.

Yes there is, but they are not polarized. You could plug them in reversing the polarity.

Just telling you what happened to me one time is all.
(Exposed side of the Micro Deans contacted metal on the balance plug). Luckily I caught it right away, before any damage. If it made contact like that in say, a field bag in transit with a bunch of other batts in there & all charged up... could have been a real nice fireworks show, that's for sure .

I made little heat shrink sleeves for my micro deans connectors. Just cut 1/4" of heat shrink and shrink it over the connector to make a little cap.

One great tip I have is to save little glass jars with metal lids (salsa, pesto, salad dressing), wash them out, and put your batteries in them for transporting/storage. I even put a little foam in the bottom to pad them a little padding. I only put 1-3 in each so it's pretty safe and convenient, especially for 850 batteries.

I also charge the batteries in these jars, especially out at a field when I'm charging in the engine compartment.
