tarot has a head for about 30.00 you can get a tarot fbl conversion with the xyz unit for about 79.00 I personally would get the tarot head and a beastx, or a 720 skookum

Hi,
I’m currently assembling a T-Rex 450 PRO with beastx and I’d like to know if the esc of 35A that comes with the box is enough to power my model. The Align combo with 3gx is also sold with this esc, does this mean I can also use it with the beastx?

You could, but I would suggest external BEC just to be safe. I used CC Bec 10A

I have a T Rex 450 V2 3GX FBL super combo on its way what kind of radio should I get?? Is there issues with this setup or have the previously mentioned bugs been worked out??

I'll represent the Futaba camp and say that you can't beat the T8FG tx with an R6203SB rx... see HERE for how well that'll fit in your new model.

im looking to convert my 450 pro to fbl whats the best fbl head for the money and fbl unit i already have a 550 with beast x i love it but is there anything just as good for less money??

I'd say the best FBL head for the money is probably Tarot, it is really cheap and great

Look, just got into the 450 FBL and "misplaced" the usb connector,software, and data connector. Not gonna name names (freakin kids) but whatevs. Does anybody know where to find the parts without buying a completely new 3gx kit? does the 3g usb and connections work? Please help!

Just go to any heli parts website like Helidirect and order the Align 3Gx. It will come with the usb connector and software. Or search ebay or rcuniverse for someone selling one used. The software can also be found online at Aligns website.

Just so you know, the 3g USB link cable doesn't fit the 3gx. I found that out the hard way after purchasing a complete USB kit. :banghead:

Anyone else having trouble with the Mikado 450 FBL head being way to soft, leading to cyclic bounce? I have adjusted the cyclic gain countless times, but with no luck. I also tried shimming the head to remove the softness without any obvious results. I actually went so far that I applied a large OD shim between the cone and the dampeners, which completely removed all dampening in the head.

After just a few flights in on this head, I have decided that I am getting the Align DFC head when it comes out. Question is, Can I fly it without any head dampening (extremely rigid)?

I do not like the design of the Mikado head at all. It does not use thrust bearings, it has o-rings instead of one piece dampeners (works best on 450s) and 3 mm spindle instead of 4 mm. The hub and blade grips are also not as wide as the stock Align one, which makes the total blade span a little longer.
