Default New Esky 2.4ghz transmitter for reflex xtr sim problem

Hopefully there is something simple I am overlooking. The stickies seem to all refer to the older transmitter that is not 2.4ghz. The model I have is a 2.4ghz ET6I 6-channel that came with my belt cp v2 recently. The manual does not have a model number, but it has "000989" in the back next to Mode-2 for the transmitter (not sure if that is helpful).

Found a link to a pic of my transmitter:

This is the thread that is for an older model:
http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=140663

My transmitter only takes 4 AA batteries and has 2 switches behind the batteries rather than 4 as described in the thread. Also, I don't see a crystal to remove?

I'm trying to get this working on reflex xtr version 5.03. I have a usb dongle that is specifically for reflex, but windows won't even recognize the device.

Reflex xtr manual says "Make sure the radio is set to PPM mode. PCM signals will not work with any simulator."

I know you need batteries installed and turn the device on before opening reflex xtr. I've tried it several ways, but I'm guessing there is something on the transmitter that I need to configure.

Does anyone know the settings needed for this newer transmitter?

Ok I figured this thing out. The first 4 usb ports on the front of my machine was the issue. None of them worked, so I assumed it was another problem. After searching and searching and being very frustrated...I went back to changing usb ports once more but this time hooked up the transmitter to a usb port hub. Guess what? It worked.

Not immediatly, but the machine at least recognized the device and said it is fully installed (before it was saying something about not 100% working). Kind of like when you hook up to wireless internet and it says "limited or no connectivity." At any rate, calibration took a while but it seems to work all right now!

Also, the way I hooked it up mattered (I think). So, I turned on the tx, plugged the usb cable into the trainer port, then plugged the usb into the usb port hub. Viola, I could then calibrate in reflex xtr.

Of course, you still need to switch the two switches in the back to be opposite the default. On the front right of the tx, I have the first two (Ail, Ele) set at Reverse, and the second two (Thr, Rud) set at Normal. This setup works for me on reflex.

Hopefully someone can benefit from this.
